Initiative for Inclusive Design (IID)
The Initiative for Inclusive Design (IID) seeks to empower students to recognize and problematize the current limitations that contemporary design discipline/practice presents, and to encourage them to work and think progressively.
This independent student advisory board will:
- Initiate conversation among students and faculty regarding disability and design.
- Empower students to recognize and problematize the current limitations that contemporary design discipline/practice presents, and to encourage them to work and think progressively.
- Foster an open network of dialogue within the architecture program, respecting every voice.
- Diversify, strengthen, and expand students’ design skills through research, site visits, lectures, workshops, interdisciplinary design charrettes, and student-led projects.
