Taubman College Doug Kelbaugh, former Dean and current professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at Taubman College, recently wrote a two-part Op/Ed piece which appeared on AnnArbor.com.
In the first installment, Kelbaugh offers points to consider as Ann Arbor officials ponder future redevelopment opportunities for four city-owned parking lots downtown. In the second part, Kelbaugh discusses the potential for two new public plaza spaces in downtown.
The opinion piece is titled “Downtown Opportunities” and features student work from one of his graduate housing studios:

Professor Kelbaugh currently teaches graduate studios in architecture and urban design, the graduate lecture course “Sustainable Urbanism and Architecture”, and an undergraduate lecture course “Architecture, Sustainability and the City.” After serving as dean of the college from 1998 to 2008, Kelbaugh took a two year leave and served as the Executive Director of Design and Planning at Limitless LLC, a public Dubai real estate development company where he oversaw the planning and design of large, mixed use, walkable, transit-oriented projects in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
