Del Campo and Manninger’s Augmentations of the Real Exhibition Opens in L.A.

Augmentations of the Real, an installation by Associate Professor Matias del Campo and Assistant Professor of Practice Sandra Manninger through their architecture practice, SPAN, currently is being exhibited at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture in Los Angeles.

The exhibition interrogates the opportunities that augmented realities present for the discipline of architecture. In augmented reality, the fusing of digital visual culture with qualities of material space reveals an embedded tension between moments of uncertainty and temporality, with aspects of precision and control. The exhibition challenges the way this tension can be explored towards new forms of cultural agency and influence for architecture.

The exhibition opens October 17, 2018, and will continue until December 8, 2018. Learn more at the MAK website, makcenter.org/programming/span-yan.
