Reed earns Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship from WTS Michigan

Terra Reed, a Master of Urban Planning Candidate (’14) and co-president of the Urban Planning Student Association at Taubman College, was awarded the Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship on behalf of the WTS Michigan Chapter – an organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women.

The Helene M. Overly Scholarship, first established in 1981 to honor the dedication and spirit of the first Executive Secretary of WTS is a monetary award given to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs. The scholarship is competitive and based on the applicant’s specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills in field such as engineering, planning, finance or logistics.

Reed will be recognized for her accomplishment at the WTS Michigan Chapter award banquet on March 27th. Visit the WTS International website for more information about WTS and the Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship.
