Taubman College Professor Fishman speaks at forum “What is Foreclosed?” as part of MOMA, Buell Center forum
Professor of Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning Robert Fishman will speak at “What Is Foreclosed? Housing, Suburbanization, and Crisis: A Forum” organized in response to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York exhibition “Foreclosed: Rehousing the American Dream.” The forum will take place at Columbia University on February 18, 2012. Fishman is one of the speakers in the panel “Suburbs, Cities, and Crisis.”
The MOMA exhibition features innovative architectural projects for five American suburbs in the context of the recent foreclosure crisis. The forum will use these projects as a point of departure to explore issues engaged by architecture and urbanism when considered in a cultural, political, and economic context. The exhibition will be on view from February 15 to July 30, 2012.
