Jane Fran Morgan

Sojourner Truth Fellow

Jane Fran Morgan has more than 20 years of experience providing planning, strategy and evaluation services to diverse organizations in Detroit and beyond. This experience includes the evaluation of a wide range of programs, initiatives and several cross-sector collaboratives. As the founder of JFM Consulting Group (JFM), Jane has partnered with foundations and nonprofit organizations to evaluate efforts in the areas of health, arts and culture, food access, workforce and community development to name a few.  Utilizing a participatory approach, she strives to engage stakeholders in meaningful ways, defining and measuring effectiveness and impact, and identifying opportunities for improvement. As president of JFM, Jane works in partnership with stakeholders in the nonprofit, philanthropic and public sectors, helping them make informed, data-driven, strategic decisions. She resides in Detroit and holds a Master of Public Affairs from the L.B.J. School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, a B.A. in Urban Studies from Michigan State University, and has completed 50 hours of coursework toward a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Michigan.
