Identity Workshop: Social Identities

The “Identity Workshops” are designed for participants to interrogate their different identities and assumptions about themselves and others. Participants will leave with a better understanding of who they are and how their identities interact with the world.

In the Social Identities workshop, participants will increase their awareness of their identities and think about how these identities influence them in different social contexts. Participants will reflect on how privilege influences how much or how little they may think about specific identities in different contexts. The goal of the workshop is to encourage empathy and build community by increasing sensitivity to shared identities with others and the diversity of identities around us.

Food will be provided. Help us plan for the event by RSVPing (we want to make sure we have enough food for everyone! You are still welcome to come if you don’t get a chance to RSVP). Also, let us know if you need any accommodations or anything else you would like us to know.
