Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library (AAEL)
Located in the University of Michigan Duderstadt Center directly across Bonisteel Boulevard from the Art and Architecture Building. The AAEL houses the core library collections for Taubman College, the School of Art & Design, and the College of Engineering.

Unique Collections in AAEL
In addition to book and journal resources, AAEL has several unique collections to support architectural and urban planning research. AAEL Special Collections in the basement includes texts spanning more than three centuries, emphasizing early and mid-twentieth-century modernism of Europe and the former Soviet Union. The Materials Collection on the second floor includes hundreds of materials from basic metals and woods to innovative polymers and nature-based, sustainable materials.

The librarian holds reference hours several times each week at the table outside the Media Center to help answer questions about library resources or for advice on getting started with research projects. Check bulletin boards for this semester's reference schedule.
