“Taubman College gave me a wide range of exposure to architectural thinking and material methodologies.”

Why did you choose Taubman College?

I was drawn to the strong design + research methodology and the diverse array of faculty.

Describe the work that you do.

I lead architectural and urban design projects. Currently, I am leading the Tom Lee Park project in Memphis, Tennessee, which is currently under construction. In addition, I also work on the hiring + staffing team.

What are some of the projects that you have worked on recently?

I am currently leading the Tom Lee Park project in Memphis, Tennessee. In the past, I have led projects for Theaster Gates, The Austin Trail Foundation, and Civic Commons.

How did Taubman College prepare you for your career?

Taubman College gave me a wide range of exposure to architectural thinking and material methodologies. This allowed me to find my own creative path and interests among many people (students + faculty) that had different ways of thinking about architecture than I did.

What is an important lesson that has stayed with you from your time at Taubman College?

Listen and learn to as many voices as you can. You will be surprised by what you can learn from people you didn’t think you could learn from.

What did you like best about attending Taubman College?

All the great relationships that I made over my time at Taubman College.
