/ Degrees Offered

For more than 100 years, Taubman College has worked to promote the public good by engaging a diverse constituency in purpose-driven learning and research addressing the built environment. With a faculty of award-winning architects, planners and designers, respected scholars, and leading researchers, we seek to understand, interrogate and advance these related fields within the context of exciting new global geographies, technologies, and ethnographies.

In pursuit of these endeavors, the college offers the following architecture and urban planning degrees:

/ International Programs

Taubman College currently offers two international programs.

Hong Kong Exchange Agreement

Taubman College of Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning currently has an exchange program agreement with the Hong Kong University.  This agreement allows current Taubman undergraduate students to attend Hong Kong University for one term, while remaining enrolled and paying tuition here at the University of Michigan. 

Shanghai Jiao Tong University Design School

Students complete 4 years of study at Shanghai Jiao Tong University Design School (SJTU-DS) toward their undergraduate degree in architecture.

/ Military and Veterans

Taubman College proudly supports veterans and military service members. Taubman College offers fee waivers for undergraduate and graduate students.

/ Pathways Program

The Taubman College Pathways program seeks to create avenues to diversify the Taubman College community and the fields of architecture and urban planning. Geared toward those exploring graduate education, the program provides an opportunity for career exploration and learning more about Taubman College’s academic offerings in an intimate setting.

/ Segal AmeriCorps Education Award

Matching Available

Taubman College provides a one-for-one match (up to $10,000) for graduate degree-seeking students who enroll with a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.
